SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL
THE FINAL YEARS AT CIS (10-12)
The purpose of our Senior High School division is to provide an Islamic environment of mutual respect and co-operation in the final years of the K-12 schooling for our students. It is our goal to produce strong graduates marching into a variety of disciplines in post-secondary institutions across the country and beyond and becoming positive contributors to the Muslim communities they become a part of insha’Allah.
As our program grows year after year, we strive to offer a wide range of opportunities for creativity, sport and service to the community. Within this context, students of varying abilities and aptitudes are encouraged to develop to their full intellectual, social, moral, physical, creative, emotional and individual potential. We believe in cultivating the skillsets of our students through project-based learning, extra-curricular activities, and classroom instruction and assessment.
As an Alberta accredited high school, we offer the full complement of cores approved and required by Alberta Education to graduate with a high school diploma. In addition to these core courses, all students are given an opportunity to select complementary option courses each year. We work hard to accommodate as many course selections as possible; please refer to our High School handbook for full details of our program as well as the policies and procedures that pertain to the division.
